Governance will have human face in Sokoto - Tambuwal | | What we have here in Sokoto is not a complete 'change' as we have at the centre and some other states. It is a continuity in 'change'. The administration here which just came to an end was headed by Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, who is a very strong member of the APC and, therefore, the APC is in government in Sokoto State and we intend to, first and foremost, continue with the projects of the administration and, of course, initiate new ones that will better the lives of the people. Senate Presidency: As it was in 1999! The origins of political disorder | | May, 1999. The meeting held somewhere in Apapa, Lagos. It was a meeting of some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM. And the then Vice President-elect, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was in attendance. The main agenda was the choice of who would be chosen as Senate President. The ostensible choice was Dr. Chuba Okikadigboli Okadigbo, a man of cerebral elocution and an intellectual thinker with a tincture of nativity. It was agreed that on the day of inauguration of the Senate, Okadigbo would be voted in as Senate President. Of course he had all that was required to lead the Senate and, by extension, the National Assembly. The post Senate Presidency: As it was in 1999! It's so easy to fall for your best friend's ex! | | "As he left the party, he promised to call. `I've always liked you', he confessed. And with a peck on my cheek, he was gone. I was completely stunned. My best friend's ex had just made a pass at me! The slime bag! My first instinct was to tell Theresa, make her realise how lucky she was to be rid of him. But it would only upset her. Still, Chuka didn't deserve to get away scot-free, I vowed to get revenge on my own for my friend's sake. I'd lead him on, then tell him what I really thought of him.
