A group under the aegis, South-East PDP Executives and Stakeholders on Monday, organised prayer sessions for the release of school girls abducted from Chibok, Borno.
The prayers, tagged FCT Prayer Session for the release of the kidnapped girls and an end to insurgency in the North East held at the FCT, PDP secretariat in Abuja.
The Chairperson of the group, Mrs Chinelo Nnadi, said their resolve to go spiritual was premised on the belief that “the spiritual controls the physical.
“We are pained as women, as Nigerians and can imagine the pain of the mothers; but we have a strong belief that they’ll come back alive,’’ Nnadi said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the prayer points included protection for the military personnel, peace, and prayer for the repose of the souls of the dead.
NAN recalls that more than 200 school girls were abducted from Government Secondary School Chibok on April 14. (NAN)
