Ogun to construct journalists, Teachers ' Estates

amosun_waveMembers of the pen and teaching professions are to take advantage of the Government's plans of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun in the bit to offer affordable housing mass and descent homes to residents.

Amosun gave this tip while the project site of the Laderin workers inspect Estate in Abeokuta on Sunday.

The Governor said that the proposed 100 media housing units immediately after the completion of the first phase of the workers ' Party Estate would begin.

"We have it in mind to build residential areas for people in the media and teaching professions. These two occupations are crucial for our development as a State. As you know, if there is no teacher, there would be no one to train each of us to become who we are today, regardless of our profession, "he said.

Amosun said the 100 homes that would be built for media practitioners would feature state of the art facilities, adding that apart from building of good road networks linking government facilities such as the estates, recreation center and Local Area Network (LAN) to help journalists in their jobs at the comfort of their homes do would offer.

He noted that the teachers, who are also officials are entitled to benefit from the 1000 houses under construction for employees in the State.

No less than 200 units from the 1000, he revealed, would be covered with plumbing entered in anticipation of commissioning soon.
