The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has stated that suspension or cancellation of the activities of the Government and the staging of protest rallies not a solution to the threat of terrorism in the country would bring.
The Governor said that these actions nor the sect Boko Haram to bring back the chibok girls nor end of the would convince numerous bomb attacks across the country.
Speaking at the Sam Mbakwe airport in Owerri, the Imo state capital, Abuja, upon arrival the Governor repeated that the nation during this period should try the wisest course of action and decisive in finding a lasting solution to the many terrorist attacks and the kidnapping of the Chibok girls, regardless of political differences.
He added that it was not the time to trade blames over who is right or wrong or suspend Government activities, but leaders must take responsibility for the current situation and unite to find a solution once and for all.
He urged President Jonathan, as a matter of urgency, the Governors of 36 to conjure up a crucial meeting where the solution to the ugly threat would be discussed.
He added that, if possible, the Governors of 36 State to Borno State to show the urgency and importance in the quest to move to the kidnapped girls of Chibok, whose lives are more important than a political mandate to bring back.
